Building directly on the concept of Abrade, these models continues to explore ideas of ritual, land art, material interaction, and ‘writing’ on the landscape. At this scale, the work investigates how an architectural visiual culture might emerge, shaped by the patterns and insights derived from the initial exploration of the rake.
Moving to a different scale from the earlier 3D-scanned soil, these models take the landscape as their foundational starting point. The temporary marks once imprinted on the earth now become the basis for structures that appear to ’emerge’ or ‘sprout’, transforming into a diverse array of wooden forms.
These models are a mix of CNC-milling, wood-joinery, and hand-carving.
